Every story begins with a moment in time

Everyone has a story, and everyone's story needs to be told. That is the beauty of the arts. The arts allow you to tell your story that connects you to your audience. This can come in all forms: music, visual art, sculpture, dance, photography, writing, spoken word, film, the possibilities are endless. How you tell your story is up to you. You just need to discover the best way to connect yourself to how you want it portrayed. The beauty of the arts is there in no one way to do things.

What holds people back, including artists, is fear. When you put art out there, that takes a lot of courage, there is so much judgement and critism but there is so much joy and freedom in saying this is me and this is my story. Over the past few years I have dived head first into documentaries. Giving a snapshot of people, companies or cities lives. Breathing life into their past while providing a last memory of the present and a glimmer into their future.

My oldest daughter moved to the east coast to pursue her dreams as an artist. My other daughter moved to another state to pursue her dreams as an artist. Different forms of art, different dreams but with the commonality of art being the central focus of who they are and how they can stay true to themselves. Pursuing art takes bravery, stamina and a certain sense of self conviction of this is who I am.
